To show off how my lightweight Slim DLP TVs could be used, I worked with Native Design to design this "audio shelf" -- a simple wall-mounted shelf that has within its thickness a full surround-sound processor, the front three channels of speakers (custom engineerd by Bowers&Wilkins), and wireless transmitters for rear channels and subwoofer. It's a different take on the "wall-mounted TV", thinking about the entire entertainment system and less industrial mounting hardware than the typical flat-panel bracket.
This, along with the Native-designed concept TV shown, was displayed at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show and was featured in Dwell Magazine. |
